Corotech® Waterborne Bonding Primer is a one-component bonding primer that may also be used as a rust inhibitive universal primer. This product bonds to various metals creating a solid foundation for finishing coats. This product may be finish coated with a wide variety of coatings including alkyds, acrylics, epoxies, urethanes and moisture cured urethanes. Because of it’s versatility on all metals, Waterborne Bonding Primer will replace traditional wash coat primers and offers a safer to use alternative for all projects. This product is a high performance coating specifically designed for application directly to ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates. It provides corrosion resistance as well as primary adhesion. It will tightly bond to Steel, Chrome, Brass, Copper, Aluminum, Galvanized Metal, Stainless Steel [when used on stainless steel or cold rolled steel, it is imperative that there be a surface profile of at least 1 mil and that it be jagged in nature]. It may be left uncoated for up to 3 months at 77°F prior to finish coating in interior applications. In exterior applications, if more than 2 weeks elapse, the primer film should be cleaned to remove any chalk that may have formed.
