Liquid Flame Guard is a revolutionary liquid fire retardant additive that mixes with latex coatings to provide Class A fire protection on interior surfaces. Liquid Flame Guard is designed to slow the flame spead when added to the coating. Apply with brush roller or sprayer. For use with satin and eggshell coatings. Liquid Flame Guard has been tested in accordance with ASTM E-84 Standard Method of Testing for Surface Burning Characteristic of Building Materials. It meets the Both UL 723, NFPA 255 and UBC 42-1: Class A.Mix one 8 oz. bottle per gallon of paint. FLAME GUARD LIQUID IS NOT INTUMESCENT, meaning it is not a foam. It works by suffocating the substrate from the flame — therefore, if there is no oxygen for the flame, there is no fire.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Add 1 (one) bottle of the Flame Guard Liquid per gallon of acrylic latex coating. To achieve Class A rating two coats need to be applied. Coverage is 250-300 sq. feet. Let dry between coats. Mix thoroughly, then brush, roll or spray. Always test compatibility before using.
