Product Overview
Covers UP Ceiling Paint & Primer in One is a low odor aerosol that is a stain killer and ceiling touch-up paint in one. It seals water damaged ceilings and sprays vertically for ease of use. It’s perfect for touch up when you don’t want to repaint the entire ceiling due to spot damage. Zinsser’s stain blocking primer technology is incorporated into this new generation product that offers a flat white finish that matches most new acoustical ceiling tiles and white ceiling paints. Covers UP is an odorless oil-base formula with only a brief odor from propellants that diminishes quickly.

most ceiling tiles.

Surface Preparation - Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, excessive chalky material, grime, grease, oil, wax, mildew, wallpaper
adhesive or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion. If unsure, always wash surface with a household ammonia and water
solution, appropriate cleaning solution, or solvent (Do not use TSP as a cleaner). Remove any unsoundly adhered coatings. Sand any
remaining paint film edges smooth with the surface. Attempt to remove existing stains by washing, sanding, scraping, etc. Remove
interior mildew with an interior mildew cleaner. Countersink exposed nail heads, spot-prime and fill with Zinsser Ready Patch® spackling
compound. Wire brush rusty areas.
Application Directions – Shake can until ball inside rattles, then continue shaking for one minute. If ball does not rattle, do not strike
can. Repeat shaking periodically during use. Test spray pattern on scrap surface before using. Spray 10-12 inches from surface. Mask
off nearby objects. Apply with short ‘dusting’ strokes. Will seal most stains. When finished, clean valve by holding can upside down and
spraying until clear gas comes out. To clear clogged spray tip, remove from can and clean with pin.
Drying Time - Dries to the touch in 30 minutes. Allow a minimum of 2 hours dry time before recoating or applying topcoat. Lower
temperature and higher humidity will prolong dry time of the product.
Coverage – Approximately 15 square feet per 13 oz aerosol can. Surface porosity may reduce square foot coverage and require a
second coat.
Cleanup – Clean spills and drips with a rag dampened in mineral spirits.
